Privacy
This portfolio uses a small, first-party analytics system so I can see which parts of the page are useful. It is built to be anonymous: it does not use cookies and it does not identify you.
What is recorded
- A random anonymous session ID (kept in your browser's sessionStorage) and a random anonymous visitor ID (localStorage) used only to tell new visits from returning ones.
- When the visit happened and how long it lasted.
- The page's referrer (where you came from) and any utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign or utm_content values in the link.
- Device type, browser and operating system, derived from your browser's user-agent, and your screen size.
- Your country (two-letter code only), provided by the hosting platform.
- Which sections of the landing page you scrolled into view, and which buttons or links you used (for example opening a project or clicking a contact link).
What is not recorded
- Your IP address, name, email address or any account identifier.
- What you type into the contact form or the chat. Only the fact that the contact form was submitted is counted.
- Advertising identifiers, cross-site tracking, or anything shared with ad networks.
Your choices
Analytics respects your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals: if either is on, nothing is recorded. You can also clear your browser's site data at any time to discard the anonymous IDs.
Retention and separation
Analytics data is stored in the site's database and can be deleted by the site owner at any time. It is completely separate from the private admin area's sign-in, and the admin area is never tracked. Separately, the site also uses Vercel Analytics for aggregate page-view counts.
